The Moments In Between

Playing cards over a cappuccino. An afternoon in a hammock by the lake. A sauna followed by a cold plunge. Watching the sun disappear below the horizon.

None of these are life's biggest milestones. Yet these moments are invaluable. They make up the fabric of our daily lives and provide us with happy moments that make each day a little more fulfilling.

Life is remembered by its milestones, but it's lived in the moments in between.

That's what hacky sack is to us. Another simple, happy moment. You don't need a field, a court, or a schedule. You can pull one out almost anywhere, and soon enough people are kicking it around, laughing, talking, and sticking around a little longer than they planned.

The 15 minutes before practice become full of conversation and laughter with teammates. The hour you have to kill between work and happy hour becomes a circle of coworkers who suddenly aren't in a rush. The awkward hour between classes becomes a chance to move and enjoy some fresh air before settling in for a late night at the library. The 3 minutes before the bus shows up become a couple of kicks with a new friend.

The moments in between are already there. All that's left is to make them count.
